I have upgraded my old set of minimalist emoticons, which were 8-bit black-on-white and didn't look good on anything other than a white background.
The new edition of MiniEmotes now uses alpha-transparency to ensure they look good against any background.
In addition to that, I have released four additional sets for people that would like the option not to use black - you can now also choose red, green, blue, or white.
(And if you would like any other colours just let me know - I can have it done in a matter of minutes.)
I have also created versions of all five colours against black and white backgrounds with a regular transparency, for anyone who wants to use them with IE but is not able to use the transparency hack.
Unfortunately converting the animated emotes is not as straightforward, since there isn't a common animation format that supports alpha-transparency, and I have not yet decided whether it would be worthwhile using MNG (since it requires a plugin for most browsers). If anyone has any opinions on this please let me know.
